What to Expect
From the moment you schedule your child's screening, my goal is to make the process as comfortable, informative, and supportive as possible.
1. Parent Intake
Before your child's appointment, you'll complete a questionnaire about your child's reading history, academic concerns, developmental milestones, and family history. This helps me better understand your child's unique learning journey.
2. Individual Screening Session
Your child will participate in a one-on-one screening in a relaxed, encouraging environment. The screening looks at several foundational reading and language skills commonly associated with dyslexia, helping create a clearer picture of your child's learning profile.
3. Comprehensive Written Report
After the screening, you'll receive a detailed written report that summarizes your child's results, explains what they mean in parent-friendly language, and outlines their strengths, areas of concern, and personalized recommendations.
4. Parent Consultation
We'll meet to review the report together, discuss the results, answer your questions, and talk through the recommendations so you leave feeling informed and confident about the next steps.
